About Mission Haiti

HISTORY
In 1995 a missionary from Haiti asked the church where Pamela Plasier was attending to consider going to Haiti to visit a small village that he stumbled across.  The village was extremely poor and he was hoping somebody would consider helping them.  Pamela was one of six that chose to go.  Many years later, her and her husband are still in love with the people in Ti-Rivier and count it a privilege to be God’s hands and feet to them.

CHURCH
We work with 4 churches in the village, giving them encouragement and Biblical teachings.

MEDICAL Care

Several times during the year, medical teams set up mobile clinics to relieve some of the suffering these people endure every day.

SHORT TERM MISSION TRIPS
We are happy to host any team that is looking to serve God by evangelizing, building, offering medical services or spending time with the people forming relationships.  Come labor with us short or long term.

If you would like to be part of a team or organize one, please contact us for more information. We are here to serve, and to provide you with an opportunity to serve as well.

SCHOOL
Mission Haiti is able to offer many children an education from preschool through high school.  The school funding is largely dependent on children being sponsored by individuals and churches in the United States.  To sponsor a child, or for more information, see Sponsor a Child page.  More Pictures

ORPHANAGE

Orphans are called “dogs” in Haiti.  They are given no time to grieve because they are immediately in a vulnerable position.

We had a dream of opening an orphanage for the many kids that have no parents due to mothers dying during childbirth or illness and fathers absent from the home due to desertion or death. God has commanded us to look after orphans in their distress, (James 1:27) but we have found it to be one of the greatest joys in life.

In the orphanage, children are provided plenty to eat, a comfortable bed and an education, but best of all, love and affection from the couple who attends to their physical, emotional and spiritual needs.  While fun is a part of every day, they are rounded out with daily chores, devotions and serving those less fortunate in the community.  To see how you can help, see our current needs page.
