Cassie Neufeld and her sister Kristen are teachers at at the Jean Alexis Kuislin Christian Academy. They grew up in a small farming town in southwestern Ontario called Aylmer. They have no other siblings in their family.
Cassie attended Redeemer University College and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Bachelor of Education in Primary/Junior Division.
Why Cassie works for Mission-Haiti:
"During the 2014-2015 school year, I was offered a one-year teaching contract at a small Christian school. Around the time I was planning on visiting Haiti for the first time to see if I wanted to teach there for the 2015-2016 school year, the school offered me a permanent, full-time contract. To say deciding between the two was difficult would be an understatement. Ultimately, I felt God calling me to Haiti, and took the leap of faith to leave my job at the school.
The passion of my heart is to use the gift of teaching that God has blessed me with to educate underprivileged and disadvantaged children - to reach out to those around the world who do not have the advantages given to kids living in first-world countries. To be able to combine teaching with sharing Christ’s love is the most wonderful privilege I could be given. I feel led by the Spirit to be His hands and feet to a broken world that needs to know of His love, and to see His love demonstrated in tangible ways - Mission-Haiti is the vessel that God is using to let me do this."
