Emilee grew up on a dairy farm in southern Minnesota. She first visited Haiti in 2016 when she was a senior in high school. Over the past four years Emilee has returned to Haiti five times; each time she visited she has felt an ever-increasing sense that Haiti would continue to play a large role in her life.
While she was in college God revealed to Emilee her love for mentoring youth, answering their questions, and encouraging them to be more like Jesus Christ. Having the opportunity to teach at JAKAC marries Emilee’s two big passions—children and Haiti. She is super excited to return to a country she has long considered to be her “heart home” and to serve the community of Petite Rivière and the students at JAKAC!
