Last school year, Mission-Haiti partnered once again with Dordt University for a senior engineering project. Students Maya, Caden, Gloria, and Graham worked alongside Gene VanderGriend to design an elevator for the LSF Medical Clinic. This summer, Caden and Gene traveled to Haiti and worked alongside our local team to bring the project to completion—and the elevator has quickly become the talk of the town! The biggest blessing is the impact on our patients. Many receiving therapy on the second floor previously had to be carried up the stairs. Now, they have a safe and accessible way to get there. We’re grateful for our continued partnership with Dordt and for everyone who helped make this project a reality!
