May Ministry Update

Banquet Recap

On April 11, we held our 4th annual Mission-Haiti Spring Banquet. Although the weather was less than ideal, we still had a wonderful night of fellowship with many of our supporters. We continue to be humbled by the love and support we receive from so many partners of Mission-Haiti.

Throughout the evening, we were able to showcase many different areas of our ministry through videos and speeches given by some of our team members. This year we focused on our block company, elderly home, Jean Alexis Kuislin Christian Academy, the partnership between Abiding Savior Free Lutheran Church and the Toussaint community, and our medical clinic. We also presented Tim Mulder and his family with a thank you plaque for their many years of service to Mission-Haiti.

We are so thankful for the many volunteers that made the night a success by giving up their time to help set up, decorate the venue, help with media, and of course the dessert auction. This year, we received a special gift from a donor who matched every dollar raised for the banquet. Thanks to the generosity of those in attendance, those that were not able to attend but still made a financial contribution, and the matching grant, we are happy to report that we were able to raise over $250,000. We are very blessed by so many of you who not only supported us on that evening, but who support us continually throughout the year with your time, finances, and prayers. We could not do what we do without you.

April Teams

Wireless World / Paws Pet Resort

At the beginning of April, we had a Wireless World/Paws Pet Resort team in Ti Riviére. The team had a busy week visiting the elderly home, going on home visits, spending time at Bethanie school, praying at the hospital, hanging sound panels at the JAK Academy, having a worship night with the youth, and more!

Mission-Haiti has been very blessed by our partnerships with both Wireless World and Paws Pet Resort. We are excited to see how God uses these partnerships going forward!

Sioux Falls Christian

A team of juniors and seniors from Sioux Falls Christian Schools spent their spring break serving with us in Ti Riviére. The team spent their week visiting the homes of sponsor students, putting on volleyball and dodgeball tournaments, sorting shoes in preparation for distribution week, visiting the elderly home, and having an activity day for the JAK students who were also on a break.

The team had the opportunity to celebrate the Easter season during a night of worship with our Haitian brothers and sisters and a sunrise service in the mountains on Easter morning. We are extremely thankful for Sioux Falls Christian's continued support and partnership with Mission-Haiti.
