For anyone who has recovered from illness or surgery and has been instructed to undergo physical therapy, you know what an important role it serves to the healing process and recovering of yourself. Now, that same hope is available to the region of Ti Rivyè! Starting in July, the LSF Clinic is now home to a physical therapy clinic. Lead by Dr. Liana Zephir, patients now can come to LSF for a much needed and hard-to-come-by physical therapy program on Thursdays and Fridays.

About a year ago, the LSF Administrator in Haiti lost his mother from complications of a stroke. This all-too-common scenario grew a fire in Maxime as he prayed about how we as a medical clinic in the rural reaches of Southwest Haiti could offer hope to families like his. Within the year, the Lord opened the door of relationship with Dr. Zephir and conversations began as to how we could partner together to bring physical therapy to our area.

In Haiti, physical therapy is rarely available by region, and often unattainable monetarily. As we have continued to grow at the LSF Clinic, we have been passionately questioning, why should people have to choose between accessible and exceptional care? It is our calling to bring both to a region that would otherwise go without. This physical therapy program is just another example of how LSF stands apart to meet a need in the area, reaching people in their most vulnerable.
